Estilo Collective is a global marketplace, expert styling services, and an inspirational style library. Founder Renee Shaab draws upon her extensive background in clientele services and her love of both cutting-edge and vintage fashion to help her clients develop and expand their sense of personal style at any price point.
Born and raised in Louisiana, Renee spent her childhood summers on the East Coast, where she was first exposed to the world of fashion and street style. After studying Communications and Apparel Merchandising at Indiana University, Renee began her career in Washington, D.C. in luxury hotel management and sales, where she first discovered her passion for customer relations. In 2009, Renee relocated to Los Angeles, where she continued her ascent in the hospitality world, working in sales for some of the city’s most prestigious properties, including SLS Hotel at Beverly Hills and L’Ermitage.
An avid vintage clothing hunter in her free time, Renee's private collection of pieces continued to expand, and in 2010, Renee joined forces with noted fashion journalist Erin Weinger to launch Pretty Genius—an ongoing series of curated vintage pop-up shops across California, which garnered coverage in The Los Angeles Times, Racked L.A., and Refinery 29, to name a few.
In 2012, Renee turned her focus to a full-time career in fashion, landing Des Kohan, one of Los Angeles’ most innovative fashion boutiques and home to both renowned and emerging American and European designers. As the store director, Renee assisted with buying, sourced new vendors and designers, and worked one-on-one with clients, personal shoppers and designers. In 2014, she embarked on a six-month journey across Asia and South America, where she spent days scouring local market places for one-of-a-kind finds, adding to her ever-growing private collection of vintage and unique pieces.
From building a personal wardrobe from scratch to shopping a red-carpet look or conceptualizing a wedding dress, Renee has a unique ability to draw out people’s personalities through their clothes, allowing both men and women to feel their best for any occasion.
